Canterbury Resource Management Awards 2004


The aim of the Canterbury Resource Management Awards is to promote sustainable management of natural and man-made resources in the Canterbury region by recognising and rewarding activities that maintain resources for future generations.

35 finalists in four catagories

The Christchurch Civic Trust is concerned with improving and regenerating the environment in places where people live and work. The Trust sets out to promote higher environmental standards in and immediately around the City of Christchurch. Annual awards are intended to stimulate interest in the appearance of our city and its environs; to create a greater awareness of the importance of environmental design in all its aspects including architecture, planning, civic and landscape design and to draw attention to the best contribution now being made in these fields.

Award Winner: The Riccarton Bush Trust - "...for Riccartion House and Bush. The Trust recognises the most recent achievements and lasting guardianship of the Trust Board which continues to tell the parallel stories of the settlement and ecology of this site."
